YOUR FIRST VISIT
Your first visit to our office will consist of a dental exam and X-rays. Your dentist will inspect your mouth, teeth and gums for any potential problems and then put together an individual treatment plan to protect or improve your oral health. If your treatment plan requires a root canal, a second appointment will be scheduled. If you are in terrible pain, we will take every effort to see you on the same day you call.
Please prepare the following before your scheduled appointment:
- Referral slip & X-rays, if available
- List of medications you are taking right now
- Insurance card – if you have dental insurance
(If you don’t have an insurance card, please provide us the subscriber number, group number, and your insurer’s contact number)
Patients under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on their first dental visit.
Patients with a medical condition (high blood pressure, diabetes, rheumatic fever, artificial heart valves, etc.) or those on any medication (aspirin, anticoagulants, etc.) should inform our office prior to obtaining treatment.
If your doctor has taken dental X-rays, please have the images forwarded to our office via mail (film) or email (digital X-rays). We can take additional X-rays in our office, if deemed necessary.
Following your appointment, our administrative staff will meet with you regarding payment and scheduling of your dental cleanings and any procedure outlined in your treatment plan. If you have dental insurance, our staff will work with you and your insurance provider to find out whether your dental visit is partially or fully covered.
